Stradbroke Island

Stradbroke IslandHello again! A little over a week ago, I went out to Stradbroke Island for the first time, with my boyfriend and his family! I got incredibly sunburnt, we had awesome food and ice cream, and now I’m going to share with you all some photos from the day.

IMG_9920We started the day off by of course getting onto the Ferry, which naturally from myself, meant making a joke out of something silly.

Which I actually just posted this photo on my instagram too!

After being on the small ferry trip over, we climbed onto a bus which was being driven by the grumpiest old man…

We got off at the Stradbroke Island hotel, made our way down to the beach and started walking! As this was my first time at Stradbroke, I had no idea what I was in for, until my boyfriend starting excitedly talking about this ‘HUGE’ sand dune that we apparently had to walk up and then run down…

I actually didn’t make it all the way up to the top, because the sand was super hot! I must have really weak soles compared to my boyfriend?? We continued our walk across these gorgeous beaches which of course meant some cute candids photographed by the boyfriend.

Also, this shirt is from Veganized World, and this top is 100% amazing, and 100% sweat shop free, using eco-conscious materials. Not a sponsored post either! I just really love this top, and I’m actually currently wearing it as I type this. Not that I wouldn’t mind being sponsored πŸ˜‰ You can buy the top here!

Continuing a little further down the beach, we reached some larger rock pools, big IMG_6790enough for us to actually swim in! Also, this my ‘I’m absolutely bloody freezing, but someone’s taking a photo of me’ face. With the sun beating down on us, you’d think the water would at least be warm!!

After this, we ventured up from the beach and back onto the side of the roads, making our way to the most important thing of all – food.

We went to a local fish and chip shop, which had the FRESHEST fish, and crunchy chips.

After this, we went and did a walk around the gorge (I don’t actually know the name of this place! Oops). The photos we took were absolutely amazing, and we even saw 3 turtles swimming in the water.

HOW NICE IS THE WATER THOUGH

After such an awesome huge day out, I was definitely really REALLY sunburnt (even the tops of my feet??) and so we made our way back home and I just about fell asleep as soon as my head hit my pillow that night.

Also quick last photo, how cute is my boyfriend?? Luckily his skin tans really well…

Until next time!
