Thai Fish Curry ~ Recipe

Hey there guys, have you EVER cooked something that has just been so so perfect, it’s melted in your mouth, and you’ve eaten the whole 2 portions in one sitting? Well that’s currently me right now. I’m half annoyed at myself for eating all of this meal, as half of it I was planning on having for lunch tomorrow.

Quite a few years ago, I think I was 16(?) my family and I went to Thailand on our first Asia trip. It was awesome, and mum and I did a cooking class at the hotel in Phuket that we were staying at. My family has always had a love for Thai food (and every other type food tbh), and out of the cooking class, my 2 favourite recipes was Pad Thai and Thai Fish Curry (Choo Chi Pla, is what they call it on the recipe card we were given). This dish can be cooked with whatever protein you want, I have cooked this many times with chicken, I haven’t yet experimented with tofu (one day!), but this recipe is pretty versatile and SO INCREDIBLY EASY AND FAST.

Gold Coast Anniversary Weekend

Hey there! I’ve recently returned from 2 nights away in Surfer’s Paradise! I’ve actually never stayed in Gold Coast, even though I’ve lived in Brisbane my entire life. I’ve only ever gone up to the Sunshine Coast, as per my parents preferences.

This was more of a special weekend away, being Yannik and I’s first anniversary! Yannik’s present to me was this little getaway, and he definitely did so so well! Here’s a little rundown on what we did, ate, and saw!

Five Favourites: June

Hey guys! I’m someone who absolutely loves writing lists, and so when I saw The Sunday Chapter write her ‘Five Favourites: May‘, I really enjoyed the idea! She wrote 5 lists consisting of different things that she experience throughout the month. I know that it’s only half way through June, BUT I feel like I’ve definitely got these lists ready to go.

Welcome to my new monthly series, let’s see if I actually manage to keep it going for longer than just one post…

Tips for Travelling Bloggers

Hello! I laugh at the thought of calling myself a ‘seasoned blogger’, so there’s no way in hell that this post is condoning this. HOWEVER during my trip to Switzerland, I was only half prepared for photos, and so I’ve made a list of tips on how bloggers, influencers and just people wanting to up their instagram game can bring out the best photos of themselves on your trip.

I only really got a handful of I guess what could be called ‘instagrammable’ photos. By this I mean the cute touristy photo, nice outfit, GORGEOUS background, perfect props, etc. The need to pre plan and research is crucial for it, and looking back at it now, I wish I then (literally 2 months ago, oops) was taking my blogging slightly more seriously, as I’m currently trying to do.

My Top 10 Photos of Switzerland

Heya guys! Finally back on board of the frequent posting train! I know that yes this is only the second post in a row that I’ve managed to do, but I’m having high hopes at this stage!

Recently I’ve been really missing my current favourite country, Switzerland. I was there on holiday nearly 2 months ago with my boyfriend and his family! I haven’t put ANYTHING on my blog about this AMAZING country so far, so here’s the first post, my top 10 photos. Not all of them were taken on my DSLR, but you seriously don’t need an amazing camera to see how perfect (I think so) this country is.

How I Save Money

Oh my goodness it feels wayyyy to long since I’ve last posted on here (2 weeks!) and so of course I have my reasons, and I feel that this blog post is quite fitting. I got a new job!

I haven’t talked about my ’employment’ on my blog for quite a long time for quite a many reasons… It really hasn’t been that great for the last 6 months. I left my a fairly stable job in September of last year, and since then? I’ve had 4 jobs… I left my stable job for a ‘better’ seeming position with a different company, which only lasted 6 weeks(!) because the company restructured (tbh, they’re not doing too well), but I was able to get a job literally a WEEK after losing that one.

I was in LOVE with this new one, but the company had come into some hard times and so decided to close down 2 of its stores, including mine, without being able to offer any positions at other stores. I was able to get a job after about 3 weeks of searching, however I was only getting 4 hours a week ($100 a week? bruh), and so I was still on the hunt. FINALLY I’ve got a fantastic job, which I started just over a week ago, and they’re already talking about a management program!

Autumn/Winter Clothing Wishlist

Heya again! I’m currently back with a little post, about my fairly favourite topic: clothing! I’ve actually just accepted a new job offer, so I’ll be back to working more hours again (finally), and it’s back in the best type of retail (I think so)- fashion. This time it’s mens fashion, but I’m still loving the idea of working with textiles again.

I’m not sure what it is, but I really enjoy seeing people dressed in a new outfit, they have a different smile on their face. And because I have been missing working in a women’s fashion retail store for a little while, I’m of course writing a post about the styles I’m really loving for autumn and winter.
